Question by ?amg nana™: How would I start a home business in crafts and sewing?
I can pretty much make anything, but enjoy making things for children. Other that craft fairs, are there any places where I can sell things like changing pad sets, crib bedding, bibs, quilts, etc?

My First Real Quilt

My First Real Quilt

This is the only picture I took of almost the whole thing that wasn’t crap. That’s what happens when you try to just use whatever lens happens to be attached to the camera when you go take your picture I guess. Anyway, this is the quilt that I started in February for the quilting class I took through Heartland Community College. I’m very happy with how it turned out. Oh, and I guess I’m still supposed to label it, so it’s not technically done, but we’ll see if I ever get around to that. The binding was the hardest part for me. I tried to do it by machine and that caused much more headache/heart ache than I would have thought. Eventually, I ripped it all out and did it by hand. Oh, nothing on this quilt was fussy cut. (And by first real quilt, I mean first quilty quilt – I’ve also made a huge t-shirt quilt, but I didn’t do the binding properly. Just sewed it all together and turned it inside out. The quilting police haven’t come after me yet, though, so I think it’s gonna be ok.)

Pink Patchwork Sarees

Pink Patchwork Sarees

Gorgeous dark pink adorns the body with exclusive patch work that involved in resham embroidery and mirror or mica work. This saree is divided into border, pallu and body portion that is entirely different from dark violet material. Edge of the pink saree gives smooth zari finishing without disturbing the hemline. This unique net sequined saree for evening party would change look gorgeous, since it has a blend of hoary aari embroidery that will sparkle and draw people towards you. Introducing the blind tucked seat line differs from the standard pleated seat row. The arrangement of floral coloured design next to a small decorative motif changes the pure net fabric into rich and impressive, also it complements the minor motif. The red motifs are fully stitched with resham embroidery with mirror fixed in it. Mostly single floral motifs with multi blush are scattered all around the body portion.

Matching blouse is paired with the pink colour saree. Contrast lovers would go with red interfacing cross stitch at the neck line by combining pink stuff. The clean net fabric got a fabulous chance to blend with dart and pattern of the blouse. The dart manipulation over bust and under bust point would make the outline of the blouse more relaxed to carry with the dark pink color saree.

Strapless blouse with padded attached on the bust point would make the representation simple and the backless net fabric strips on the center back of the blouse will look remarkable in the twilight parties. Attaching the extra zari from the saree to the blouse, results in celebratory pattern. Wide reversed angular neckline or lead neckline with short check sleeve suits the occasion perfectly and avoid drop shoulder pattern for dusky beauties. Casual pink colour satin diamantes high heels shoes would balance the saree. Silver coloured hand bags with light pink embroidered work would make the person feels more positive. Kundan based bangles, easy join chain, and short warped studs in light red or even in white stone would make the saree more elegant and dignified.

Free hair with a dove feather in front panel enhances that simple style. Identical eye shadow suits the fair sensitive person, and peach shade would look better for dark toned person. Apply colour mehendi in Arabic method on palm so that it covers and fallout in positive, even lacking finger rings for pure net fabric. Armlet or anklet would make the saree even better.
